ELYRIA, OH — Around 11 a.m. last Friday, firefighters arrived at the Wishy Washy Car Wash here to extinguish a fire that has now been deemed as "suspicious," The Chronicle-Telegram reported.
The June 16 story said the biggest clue in the case is that people were seen running from the carwash around the time the fire started.
The fire started inside of a motor home that was parked at the carwash and it spread to the outside of the carwash. The fire then spread to the storage area.
The carwash might be one of several properties that were set on fire in the area last week. Two basement fires and one outside a mental health center were reported last Wednesday and another fire was reported inside a set of trash bins last Thursday.
Investigators have been able to see a “clear connection” between all of the fires, the story said.
Damage to the carwash has been estimated at $10,000.
