FORT ST. JOHN, BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA — The owners of Wash Zone Enterprises are trying to expand their carwash property into a vacant adjacent lot, but it looks like the owners of a nearby mall aren’t going to let it happen, an Energetic City story said.
The March 12 story said Cam and Karlene Duncan are not able to build an entrance to the vacant lot because the road to it is privately owned by the owners of the Totem Mall.
“Basically we have no access to the back of our lot,” Cam Duncan said in the story, “We can't develop it without adding extra loads or existing access and without legal access we really can't do anything with it.”
Cam said the owners of the mall are unwilling to work with them.
The Duncans went to a city council meeting on Monday to request that the road be expropriated, which would force the owners to sell the land. Their request was denied.
