• The Western Carwash Association's (WCA) 31st Annual Convention & Tradeshow will take place Sept. 18-20 at the San Diego Convention Center.

The WCA website stated that there are over 2,000 carwashes within 200 miles of San Diego. That figure, combined with the fact that the convention will be offering the lowest registration cost in over a decade, will more than likely mean that a large "drive-in" pool of attendees is expected.

• The Connecticut Carwash Association's (CCA) 23rd Annual Mini Expo will be held March 23 at the Marriott in Cromwell, CT.

The day-long event, which will start around 8:30 a.m., will feature two drawings in which a flat screen TV and a free trip to the 2012 Northeast Regional Carwash Convention will be raffled off. A buffet dinner will also be offered. For more information, visit,
