ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — Though it’s still in the planning stages, a recently-approved carwash and gas station here may end up being one of BP’s most impressive locations, the Daily Herald reported.

The Jan. 18 story stated that the carwash design includes a tower and landscaping that the village’s staff feels will be “particularly attractive.”

John C. Graham, a partner in Graham Enterprises, said in the article that he wants the design to make it clear that the gas is BP brand, but the carwash is Graham’s Maverick brand and not owned or operated by BP.

The carwash will include computer-operated gates and a heat chamber at end of the tunnel so cars will be dry when they exit the building, the story noted.

The noise expected from the carwash will be less than the traffic noise on the roads, according to a report in the story.
