MOUNT CLEMENS, MI — A former carwash employee was given a stiff sentence here for brutally beating a wash owner with a piece of steel, WXYZ reported.
The Jan. 4 story stated that a year ago, Jony Alatto beat carwash owner John Mass as he was leaving his business. Alatto had previously worked at Mass’ carwash.
Mass asked the judge to punish his attacker to the fullest extent of the law, and Alatto was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Alatto was apologetic during his court appearance, according to the story. “I’m sorry for letting my emotions get in the way earlier,” he said to a judge before his sentencing.
Alatto’s family was in court, and they were outraged by the ruling. One family member even had an outburst in the court room and screamed at the victim, his loved ones and the judge, the story stated.
