Company compiles detailers’ worst website errors

BEAVERTON, OR — A paint touchup manufacturer recently created an online guide to help detailers receive a better response from their websites, according to a press release.

The Jan. 3 release stated that Applied Colors researched the web presence of detailers across the country, and then they formulated fixes for the three most common website errors.

The most common problems were bad website titles. The release noted that the title of a site should tell who, what and where the detailer is.

Next, many websites lacked an image of the owner and a biography. Applied Color stated in the release that successful detailers included a personal biography to put a human face on the service.

Finally, many websites lacked any kind of up-to-date promotions, and car reconditioning businesses rely heavily on strategic discounting, according to the release.
