Mountaineer Automotive and Detailing opened here on Oct. 11.

Owner Ernest Richards said he has been working for the last 10 years to make his dream come true of owning his own shop.

In addition to auto detailing services, the shop also offers engine, brake, and wheel repair.

“We clean cars here, fully detail them out, and we fix them too. There’s almost nothing that we can’t handle,” Richards said.

Two weeks of free carwashes at the Super Shine Car Wash ended this October when the business held its official ribbon cutting ceremony.

The full-service carwash is a part of a Shell gas station and Dunkin’ Donuts. The multi-profit center held the grand opening of the carwash on Thursday, Oct. 21.

Carwash staff celebrated the occasion along with the city’s mayor, and the business’s owner Harbhajan Singh, his wife Parmjit Kaur, and the owner of the Dunkin’ Donuts/convenience store Patty Babb.

Port Townsend, WA
A new converyor carwash is now open for business following a three year process and $1.6 million investment.

The business, called the carwash, was founded by retired insurance man Brent Shirley and the Lytle family. It offers full detailing services and has six employees.

The carwash uses MacNeil equipment in the 75-foot tunnel and uses recycled water and environmentally-friendly chemicals.
