The Village Auto Wash opened its bays to the public in May.

The new business is located two blocks from an area VPL Petro-Canada gas station and features four wash bays, express keys, cleaning products and air fresheners.

“There’s four wand wash bays in total. There’s two washes in each bay,” co-owner Steve Pfeiffer said.

Pfeiffer and co-owner, Scott Phippen, hope the new business will also increase employment in the area. “We’ll be hiring three or four people,” Pfeiffer said.

The automatic tunnel offers “a high quality soft foam wash and towel dry’’ with prices starting at $5.75.

Eisenberg said the new Rain X product enhances the paint as well as protects the glass.

The Rain X treatment, which normally costs $2, was included as a grand opening special.

The recently opened Old Town and Country carwash is the first of its kind in southern Utah.

Old Town and Country offers its patrons a unique hand-wash service, along with gas and snacks.

Aaron McAfee, owner of the wash, said he searched for a location for years before finding a lot situated between a Wal-Mart and nursery.

The wash, which took three months to rebuild, was formerly an EZ Shoppe convenience store.
