Careful consideration must be given to material selection to overcome the corrosive effects of the stronger chemicals used in touchless washes.

Valve construction materials must withstand both low and high alkalinity. Stainless steel is the most impervious to chemical attack.

To maximize your chemical-injector pump performance avoid running chemical containers dry. While the pump may not be mechanically harmed, pumping air will cause the valves to build up a residue of dried chemical.

It may seem totally illogical, but a common source of motor failure is the application of too much lubrication to a motor. Factory-fresh motors with sleeve-bearing systems are always properly lubricated.
