Following a successful December meeting, the Car Wash Operators of New Jersey (CWONJ) have decided to focus on green technology at their next meeting in February.

The December meeting included a variety of topics like profit centers, express exteriors, maintenance and equipment, technology, immigration and chemicals.

“We wanted to create a really solid meeting that would reflect the issues facing operators today,” said Doug Karvelas, CWONJ president. “We were able to get experts from our membership to lead the discussions at each table and I think we were successful in providing a great meeting.”

Karvelas was honored for his three years of service as president and his years of service on the board and to the association. He was presented with a plaque by former CWONJ president and International Carwash Association board member Jeff Gheysens.

The group’s next meeting is titled, “Going Green” and will feature technology and steps operators can take to be more environmentally conscious at the wash.
