Timoty Tribbett has assumed the role of Vice President of Finance and Accounting for Mark VII Equipment Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of WashTec AG of Germany and global supplier of carwash equipment.

Tribbett has over 14 years of financial management experience at global manufacturing companies. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in international economics from Valparaiso University and a master’s degree from the American Graduate School of International Management.

Bill Smith is now Business Manager for Mister Car Wash’s Houston, TX, locations. Mister Car Wash is the second largest conveyor carwash chain in the nation.

Smith, a 25-year veteran of Mister Car Wash, began his career in 1983 as a management-trainee and was soon promoted to general manager of the company’s Gessner, TX, location, and then to the company’s flagship Kirby, TX, location. In 1999, Bill was promoted to the position of area manager.

Smith is also a Unity System Specialist and has played an integral part in the development of the current chemistry program at Mister Car Wash, as well as a company-wide safety program.

Jeff Price is now regional sales manager for Lustra Professional Car Care Products, a division of Cleaning Systems, Inc. that manufactures cleaning and protection products. Price will preside over a newly defined east-central region.

Price has previously owned and operated detailing and mobile carwashing businesses. He has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas and over 19 years of sales management experience in the carwash industry.

PDQ Manufacturing, Inc., one of the largest manufacturers of touch-free carwash systems, has endorsed Lustra Professional Car Care Products from Cleaning Systems, Inc., as the recommended chemical supplier for its various lines of touch-free and hybrid carwash systems and equipment.

Delta Kits Inc., a manufacturer of windshield repair equipment, is celebrating 25 years of operations since the enterprise’s founding in 1984.

The Eugene, OR-based company will be conducting a full factory certification training class February 18 at the Sheraton Arlington Hotel in conjunction with the 2009 Southwest Car Wash Association Convention and Expo February 15-17 in Arlington, TX.

Unitec Electronics, an automated payment system and bill changer manufacturer, has unveiled a newly redesigned website.

The new website provides around-the-clock access to product manuals, technical support documentation and tips on carwash marketing. Also, wash operators can purchase equipment by locating distributors in their local areas and owners of Unitec equipment can register for warranty coverage and product updates via email.

Wax My Whip Car Care Products recently announced it has been formed and is serving the detailing industry.

The company is offering up a gloss that can work on all painted surfaces. The WHIP GLOSS Instant Detailer works in one step and can also be used on fiberglass, chrome, plastic, and glass.

Association news

The Western Petroleum Marketers Association has announced the theme for its 56th Annual WPMA Convention and Convenience Store Expo, being held in February at the Las Vegas-based Mirage. Convenience & Carwash Canada, a magazine, will help in coordinating the show’s “Winning Together” theme.

The Expo, being held from February 17-19, 2009, will feature Sam Donaldson, of ABC News and Primetime Live, as a guest speaker and will include a trade show, networking sessions and workshops, a networking and scholarship-based golf tournament, which is new to the program, and a ladies luncheon.

Trade show exhibitors will include representatives from over 60 industries including the ATM, carwash, beverage, ice machine and fast food industries.
