Construction on Kwik Kar, a full-serve carwash, detailing center and fast lube, began this spring and the business is expected to open soon.
The facility will be the fifth carwash and seventh oil change business built by S&O Development, LLC.
The carwash will include a 145-foot express tunnel that will be able to wash as many as 100 vehicles an hour.
The operation is expected to employ up to eight full-time employees and a few part-time employees as well.
A man who has been recognized three times by Professional Carwashing & Detailing for managerial excellence has opened his second carwash.
Marcelino Vargas was named Most Valuable Carwasher in 1999. In 1997, he received honorable mention for the same award and in 1998 he was named Manager of the Year.
Vargas opened Sudz Car Wash and Detail Center in Beacon, NY. His first carwash, also named Sudz, opened in 2001 in Peekskill, NY.
Apple Car Wash Express was opened in March by Jon Yinger.

Jim and Deanna Meurkes have opened the first pet wash and carwash combination business in their area.
The couple will hold a grand opening for Enviro-Clean Self-Service Car and Dog Wash this month. The festivities will include a fundraiser for the local animal humane society.
The Meurkes have also made their carwash environmentally friendly by installing an ultra-high efficiency boiler and a solar preheat unit for the carwash. The couple also uses high efficiency, low voltage lighting.
It is the first carwash in the area to feature in-the-bay vacuums. There are also two outdoor vacuums.
