Well, it has now been a year since I signed on as editor of this fine publication and what a year it has been. From the unions, to the economy, to the growing social media phenomena, I have excitedly reported to you on what's happening in the industry, and hopefully given you the information you need to thrive in this industry.
It was actually in my first editorial that I wrote about our new www.carwash.com website. It seems like just yesterday, we were staying up late into the night, tweaking the pages and making it perfect for all of you. But, as I write this, and am so shocked that a year has flown by, I am sitting at my desk thrilled to announce to all of you that our website has been revamped once again. After hours, days and months of tireless work, we here at PC&D have been putting together a new www.carwash.com that's even better than its predecessor. You'll notice it has a new look and logo and many new features. We are very proud of all of it. We are constantly working hard to bring you the best there is in news coverage and information, and I am beyond impressed with what we have put together for you.
Please let me know what you think by emailing me at email@example.com. I would love to hear your feedback.
Also, you'll be receiving this issue just a few days before the The Car Wash Show™. Please be sure to refer to our Exhibit Product Guide which contains everything you'll need to know about the Show, including a floor map, schedule of events, and I even put together a fun piece that's all about some secret tips and tricks to visiting Las Vegas.
I don't know about you, but I thought having Joe Theismann as the keynote speaker last year was a major deal. But now, knowing Mike Ditka will be the speaker, I am even more impressed. I of course know a few things about his football career. But, I also know he knows a lot about running a business. And, he also knows about having setbacks. I wonder if he will talk about being fired as head coach of the Chicago Bears in 1992? I think those kinds of speeches, where someone talks about overcoming adversity and hurdles, are the best kinds. I admired how Theismann talked about how sometimes you have to look difficulties right in the face and stare them down. If you aren't attending the show, or going to the keynote address, don't worry, I'll have a pen and paper ready and will let you in on what he has to say.
If you're attending the show, please stop by and say hi. We will be at booth #156. Also, let me know what you would like to read about in upcoming issues of the magazine.
