BEL AIR, MD — A fierce storm roared through the area late last week, and a detail shop here bore the brunt of a funnel cloud, WCTI reported.
The June 1 story stated that a one-story auto detailing and repair facility was completely destroyed. More than a dozen homes near the shop were damaged, and a mobile office trailer was also demolished.
As the storm moved through town, it peeled back building roofs, flipped a pickup truck and felled multiple trees and light poles.
At least four people were injured during the storm, according to a spokesman for the Harford County Volunteer Fire & EMS Association. One was injured in a car dealership which partially collapsed. Two of the injured were taken to hospitals.
Search-and-rescue missions were conducted Friday night in the affected area, and a number of people were freed after becoming trapped, according to the Baltimore City Fire Department.
