TARAMAC, FL — A deputy officer happened to be in nearby traffic when 28-year-old Daniel Nelson lost control of his 2000 Ford Focus and plowed into a Mitsubishi that was stopped at a light, the SunSentinel Reported.
The Oct. 4 story stated that after striking the Mitsubishi, Nelson quickly fled the scene. The officer followed Nelson with his lights and siren turned off so that he did not frighten Nelson in rush-hour traffic.
After noticing a police officer on his tail, Nelson tried shaking him by quickly pulling into a carwash. Unfortunately for Nelson, his evasive maneuver was obvious, and he was soon arrested by the officer.
