BINGHAMTON, NY — The New York State Car Wash Association (NYSCWA) met at the Binghamton Riverwalk Hotel & Conference Center to board a charter bus and tour three area carwashes on Nov. 1, according to a press release.
The Nov. 2 release stated that approximately 50 people attended the event, and the three washes visited during the tour were Wash at Joe’s, Enviro Auto Wash and Hoffman Car Wash.
Wash at Joe’s is a three-bay frictionless wash with two self-serve bays, vacuum stations and a pet wash. Enviro Auto Wash is a unique self-serve location with a sedum plant roof and a rainwater collection system. Hoffman Car Wash has an optional frictionless tunnel, a belted conveyor, a drying system, doors in each bay and a new dog wash.
After the tour, attendees headed back to the riverwalk and enjoyed a dinner, and then a brief business meeting was held where the 2013 officer slate was voted into office. Finally, there was a lively discussion on the pros and cons of the unlimited wash program concept.
