PARK TOWNSHIP, MI — County sheriff's arrested three suspects that were allegedly in two vehicles that struck Joshua Owens, 24, on Easter Sunday morning, WOODTV.com reported.
The March 31 story stated that Owens was killed when he stepped out of a bar at around 1 a.m. Owens was studying business administration at Cornerstone University, working at a carpet care company and starting a detailing business with his brother.
A man who saw the accident scene while making deliveries Sunday morning decided to search for the two cars involved in the accident. After 20 minutes of searching, he found the cars and reported their location to the sheriff's department.
The man who found the cars said he knows there was a reward for finding the drivers, but he wants the money to be given to Owen's family to help pay for funeral expenses.
The alleged drivers, a male and female in their 20s, are expected to be arraigned today on charges of failure to stop at the scene of the crash. The third person was a passenger, and he was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Colorado.
