C K Enterprises, Inc., partners with PDQ

DEPERE, WI — PDQ Manufacturing Inc. has appointed C K Enterprises Inc., of Lee's Summit, MO, as a distributor to the eastern Kansas and western Missouri markets, a press release reported.

The May 31 press release quoted Charles Kunkel, president of C K, who stated, “We are very excited to have the opportunity to represent PDQ, the top line of in-bay automatic car washes. At C K Enterprises, our motto is ‘C K Services Satisfies,’ and this new partnership with PDQ will help satisfy our carwash customers’ needs. We look forward to a long and mutually-beneficial relationship!”

C K Enterprises produces more than 700 chemical products in its liquid-chemical department.

Gerry Hanrahan, senior vice president of sales for PDQ, stated in the press release, "For more than 30 years, C K Enterprises had identified and answered the needs of the car-care industry in this region and we are confident that the combination of their expertise in the area, along with the quality and proven performance of PDQ vehicle-wash systems, will lead to a fruitful long-term relationship between our companies.”

PDQ's IBA named "product of the year" International Petrol Station Trade Fair

DE PERE, WI — The LaserWash® 360 In-Bay Automatic Vehicle Wash System from PDQ Manufacturing, Inc. was selected as a “Product of the Year 2013” in the Group III: Equipment Services Related category at the recent 2013 International Petrol Station Trade Fair, a press release stated.

The May 31 press release stated the event was held from May 8-10 at the Warsaw International Expocenter in Warsaw, Poland.

The judges were appointed by the Polish Chamber of Liquid Fuels and consisted of industry experts from the "oil sector, civil servants and representatives of potential users of the products," according to the press release.

The LaserWash 360 was designed to deliver faster wash times, helping to maximize throughput opportunities and it also offers up unlimited wash-package and multiple service offerings. It also minimizes water requirements, the press release reported.

Washworld adds new distributors

DEPERE, WI — Washworld has added on two new distributors in the Netherlands and in British Columbia.

SAVONA of the Netherlands to its distributor network to help expand its international presence, a press release reported.

The May 30 release stated that SAVONA, which was founded in 1968 is now owned by Vincent Van den Dungen, who is also the president of the Dutch Carwash Association.

SAVONA sells the "Washworld touchless carwash system as part of their turnkey AUTODOES aimed at unattended sites integrated to POS systems of gas stations," the press release stated.

Washworld has also added on WashTech West, located in Port Alberni, British Columbia, which is owned by Kelly Horvath, as a distributor.

Horvath has experience in all aspects of the industry. In addition to selling and servicing Washworld systems throughout British Columbia, he is a site developer and also owner/operator of his own carwash sites, a company press release stated.

“Our focus has always been to provide highly-efficient sites. This includes everything from building design with emphasis on large, bright and well laid out bays, and providing top of the line equipment, to site management; all the while providing excellent customer service,” said Horvath stated in the press release.
