Owners and operators can adjust dryer fan speeds using controllers. During the warmer months when car counts are lower, it is advisable to slow down the dryers to save money and energy. In just a few months, it will be summertime, and during those hotter months, the hot air helps dry off vehicles as they are leaving the bay, therefore controllers can help in making sure dryers, as well as the energy needed, are being used advantageously

Dryer settings can also be configured based on which wash option is chosen by the customer. If a customer chooses one of the lower tier packages you can set your dryers to run for a shorter time and slower speed. If they choose a middle tier package you can set your fans to a faster setting and longer dry time. If they choose your best package you can run your dryers at the normal speed and for a longer dry time. However, it is not recommended that you run your, axial or centrifugal fans at an output speed higher than the manufacturer recommends.
