TORONTO, Canada — Doug Bernardi purchased a vehicle in 2012 with the promise of free carwashes for life, and after some difficulties, the deal will be honoroed, according to Global News.
“They had a big stand there and it said ‘free carwashes for life,’" Bernardi said. He went as far as communicating with an employee to make sure the deal was as specified on the sign.

In February, the dealership switched the promotion to a free wash when serviced, and a gift card with free washes on it for the year.
During a phone conversation about the promotion, Nelson Caetano, a representative for the dealership, told Bernandi that, “We have the right to make those changes, we have made those changes. Like you’ve heard through the industry, even Air Miles have made changes to their cards ... it’s a policy that we know it wasn’t popular but we have to stay in business.”

The dealership has changed its stance since then, and is now honoring the free wash promotion again. “We are not going to disappoint the customer,” said the owner, Joe Zanchin.
He added though, that there was confustion over the promotion, with people taking advantage of it by showing up early on Saturday wanting immediate service. “But on the other hand, if the customer is looking for a miracle, there’s only so much that we can do.”
