CHICAGO — The winds were tearing through the streets of downtown Chicago, but inside McCormick Place, which is hosting the 2014 Car Wash Show™, things were calm and steady as people, including attendees and vendors, were happy with the show so far.

The Show, which started Monday, has been labeled a "success" concerning the educational sessions, many of which were standing-room only, and the 100 Years Celebration, which took place at the famous House of Blues on Monday night.

One show attendee said they were cautious about the Chicago venue, but was pleased with the knowledge obtained at the education sessions as well as the demonstrations that took place at some of the booths on the tradeshow floor. A vendor, who was also skeptical about the Chicago location, was also pleased with foot traffic he saw Monday afternoon.

Car Wash Show™ Schedule of Events

The 100 Years Celebration featured a live show from musician Jeremy Davis & The Fabulous Equinox Orchestra, which was sponsored by Qual Chem. Attendees were also treated to pictures showcasing the history of the carwashing industry.

Today featured more educational sessions, some of which were also standing-room only. The keynote address also takes place today, featuring Daymond John and Robert Herjavec from the ABC hit series Shark Tank. Editors Debra Gorgos and Joe Napoli will report on the keynote address as well as the educational seminars and will reveal the final numbers in terms of attendees.
