“Your car has gotten you through one of the worst winters in recent memory, working overtime in harsh conditions, but the extreme cold, potholes and road salt have taken a toll,” said Rich White, executive director, Car Care Council.

The Council recommends regularly washing and waxing your vehicle to protect the paint and body. This is of even greater importance in places where salt is used on the roads.

Making sure to keep your vehicle on schedule for all maintenance needs is another important step in ensuring it lasts, according to the article.
