NAPA’s negative commercial about automatic carwashes creates anger in industry

ATLANTA — A new radio advertisement by NAPA Auto Parts paints the automatic carwash industry in a very negative light.

The ad describes how automatic carwashes will cause damage to a vehicle.

The commercial makes automatic washes seem very bad by stating they will do things such as chipping the paint on a vehicle or removing a rearview mirror.

The commercial explains that purchasing NAPA’s line of carwash products is the right way to go.

One person in the carwash business that PC&D spoke with said the commercial "shed a very negative light on tunnel carwashing" and that they will no longer use NAPA products.
