PARKLAND, Fla. — There are not always a lot of job options for those diagnosed with autism, but  Rising Tide Car Wash has found a way to employ people with autism and create a great wash experience, according to NBCnews.com.

Co-founder of Rising Tide, John D’Eri, came up with the idea two years ago while he was going through a carwash, according to the article.

The business wasn’t designed as a form of charity, but as one that can continue to grow, and provide people with a job, D'Eri said in the piece. Several of the employees have been moved into management positions.

The wash employs 35 workers diagnosed with autism. D’Eri worked with both experts in the carwash industry and employers of those with disabilities to come up with a training protocol that would work for those with autism, according to the article. The system was tested for almost two years.
