Man sentenced to life in prison for carwash shooting

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Timothy McClendon, 31, shot Jose O. Jenkins 20 times in a carwash shooting in 2011, according to The Republic.

He has been sentenced to life in prison without parole for the murder on Friday. A consecutive term of 30 years for armed criminal action was also added, the article stated.

Surveillance footage captured the incident, and showed McClendon first shot Jenkins who fell to the ground, and then reloaded to shoot him many more times.

McClendon had previously had charges of killing two women brought against him, but they were dropped when key witnesses could not be found to testify, according to the article.
