Drug addict arrested for abducting and threatening two women

MELBOURNE, Australia — An incident at a Keilor East carwash began when a drug addict attempted to rob two women, according to the Herald Sun.         

Aaron Schrempf, 24, spent hundreds of dollars on crystal meth, before hijacking the car two women were parked in. He threatened to slit their throats, according to the article, and said, “If there is any funny business, you know what happened to Jill Meagher,” a woman who was raped and murdered in 2012.

The women were drove to an ATM, where one withdrew $500 as the other was assaulted by Schrempf.

Schrempf attempted to conceal his identity, but was caught by DNA evidence. He was sentenced to a maximum term of five years and two months for his crime, which took place in May 2013.
