CLEVELAND — The benefits of free Wi-Fi, according to a recent survey, include increases in foot traffic, a customer’s time spent on premises, and the customer’s spending amount, according to Small Business Trends.
Free Wi-Fi can be used in many different ways for businesses, and those that used it to improve customer satisfaction for example, found that it had a 79 percent success rate.

Iain Gillott, the president of the company that did the survey, said about Wi-Fi that it’s “no longer an innovation limited to the large retail chains — small businesses are now offering the same services in their establishments, for both employees and customers. In the near future, small businesses will consider Wi-Fi as fundamental to their success as electricity or running water.”
The survey, states the article, focused on “mom and pop” retail locations.
