WATSONVILLE, CA — After eight years, a gas station owner here finally broke ground on a $3.5 million renovation project that includes a carwash, watsonville.patch.com reported.
The Jan. 12 story stated that owner Khosrow Haghshenas hopes the remodeled business will open in May, and the renovation will add a carwash, a larger store, a picnic area and a restaurant to the gas station.
Haghshenas went back and forth with the county planning commission for years over the business remodel, and he finally received the permits in late December of 2011, according to the story.
Currently the gas station employs four people, but the remodeled business may need as many as 20 employees, the story noted.
