VISALIA, CA — A four-time Pebble Beach show winner is ready to sell his restoration business here, according to the Visalia Times-Delta.

The Jan. 13 story stated that Mike Wilson has been a full-time car restorer since he opened his shop in 1992 after being laid off.

Wilson is known for doing research, finding hard-to-find classics and making them beauties once again. He typically works on about 12 vehicles per year, the story noted.

About half of the cars restored by Wilson’s business are Jaguars, and he is known as a Jaguar specialist. Several of Wilson’s restorations have sold for more than $2 million at auction, the story stated.

“Some of it has been fun and some has been very fun,” Wilson said in the story. “But, when you have Jay Leno say, ‘Hey, nice car,’ and it wins awards, it makes it all worth it.”
