Brothers celebrate 20 years in carwash business

ADRIAN, MI — Magic Fountain Auto Wash is celebrating its 20th anniversary here with special pricing, The Daily Telegram reported.

The Oct. 17 story stated that two brothers, owners Doug and Dennis Shiels, started in the industry in the 1960s working in a carwash owned by their grandfather.

After the pair graduated from college, they went into business operating an Elias Brothers Big Boy restaurant. Here, they made friends with a carwash owner, and the brothers were soon looking for a carwash location of their own, according to the story.

The brothers and their parents opened the original carwash in front of the Adrian Mall, and two other locations followed, the story noted. The locations all have touch-free automatic washes and self-serve bays.
