LAKE RIDGE, VA — Tackett’s Mill Car Wash employee Joseph Allison, 20, has been charged with grand larceny and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, after he was caught stealing from a carwash customer, the LakeRidge-OccoquanPatch reported.

The March 9 story said the customer told police he dropped his car off at the carwash to have it detailed and noticed his handgun was missing from his car’s center console when he went to pick it up.

Police showed up to the carwash at 4:59 p.m. and eventually found out the employee had taken and hidden the gun in a bathroom trashcan.
