Carwash partners with immigration enforcement

SAN DIEGO — Body Beautiful Car Wash Inc. here is the first wash chain in the country to partner with immigration to ensure that all employees are authorized to work in the United States, the East County Magazine reported.

The July 9 story said Body Beautiful, which has four locations, has become certified by a program run by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. The voluntary program verifies all employees of the wash through the Department of Homeland Security and the Social Security Administration.

Additionally, the company’s staff is trained with the latest information on detecting fraudulent documentation that many be used to illegally gain employment. The story said the company has also established internal policies that include a written employment policy, training programs, a tip line and very strict anti-discrimination safeguards.

“Our company is committed to creating a positive impact in the San Diego economy by only hiring local workers who are eligible to legally work in the United States,” said Yogi Mody, Body Beautiful president. “This creates a more stable workforce where employees can keep their jobs for the long term.”
