Fort Morgan, CO
Gary Wiegel and Gary Foos are the new owners of Mustangs Fuel and Car Wash. The two Garys have been good friends since childhood and have been restoring classic cars together since childhood.
Wiegel’s father, Fred Wiegel, built the first carwash in Fort Morgan in 1966. “The carwash was a big hangout back then,” Gary Wiegel said.
Wiegel and Foos will operate the carwash by themselves and hold off hiring any employees for now.

A new $500,000 three-bay carwash opened its doors here and was pronounced the best in eco-friendly carwash mechanics.
Owners Rich Culver and Kim Ledbetter decided to use a water conservation system tied into the village waste water, not a septic system, which saves water.
One bay features an automatic touchless system which uses water pressure and chemicals, a three-coat waxing process, and a reverse osmosis system to remove minerals from water.
The other bays are self-service and there is a vacuum and shampoo system on-site, as well.
As the new carwash project goes up here, the person running the bulldozer or fishing wires through the building might just be the owner, Denny Snyder.
Snyder, a general contractor, and his wife own the Crazy Kahuna Car Wash along with another couple. The carwash will replace a gas station formerly on the site.
Snyder picked up a lot of his handyman skills from his years with Youth with a Mission, an international Christian organization where he was responsible for all a facility’s mechanical systems.

It’s a dose of good news and bad news for the soon-to-open Karma Car Wash. The city of Miami Zoning Board recently approved a request to rezone a strip of residential land to provide additional parking for the wash, but the City Commission has yet to weigh in on the controversial matter.
A planning department contended the request was “not consistent” with the residential nature of the neighborhood and recommended the proposal be denied, and two activists representing the Palm Grove area agreed at a meeting debating the matter.
The carwash will open regardless of the space allotted for parking.
