Kenneth Beamer and his brother Charles combined efforts to establish the Canal Street Car Wash and Detail Shop, which opened recently and has seen a steady increase in business.

Beamer said he believes in hand-washing and hand-waxing, and uses materials without harsh chemicals that won't dull the car's finish.

Wash employees pick up and deliver cars to customers when they are ready, and Beamer also repairs flat tires and does mechanical work on customers' vehicles.

Prescott recently told Professional Carwashing & Detailing that his business is now conducted at two prime locations in Beverley Hills, CA, and also offers a unique vehicle storage service for customers. Prescott's Auto-Vault currently secures over 150 vehicles.

Two brothers use their combined talents to take over a local Oil Can Henry's.

Scott and Chris Allen bought the shop from its former owner and prepared for the venture by attending a two-month training program.

Scott has a 15-year background as a mechanic; however the industry is new to Chris who is a former mortgage broker. Chris Allen said that their differences complement each other well.

Customers visiting any of Oil Can Henry's numerous franchised shops don't have to even step out of their cars. When they pull up, customers are greeted with a newspaper and a menu of the different services they can have done.
