Jury rules against run over carwash builder

December 20, 2011

LOVELAND, CO — A police officer was found not liable for injuring a carwash builder here even though she ran over him while pulling out of a carwash stall, according to reporterherald.com.

The Dec. 16 story stated that a jury decided off-duty officer Bobbi Jo Pastecki was not the cause of the injuries to Timothy Kaiser even though she ran over him at a carwash in 2009.

Kaiser, who was kneeling over a manhole working on underground lines at the time of the accident, suffered a broken hip, a broken shoulder, a broken vertebra and head injuries

Kaiser sued Pastecki for lost income, medical bills and pain and suffering. Patricia Kaiser, Timothy’s wife, said her husband is now disabled and needs a hip replacement.

“The verdict makes no sense,” Patricia said in the article. “I’m very, very devastated over it. I’m just very confused and upset. We weren’t trying to get wealthy off this. We just want our wages back.”
