Tom Carleton, an employee of Ryko Manufacturing for over 30 years and previously its executive vice president, has been appointed as Ryko’s new CEO.

Ryko plans to continue with the growth strategy previously implanted by its management team, and now under the leadership of Carleton.

The growth strategy calls for long-term strategies to defend the company’s position as a leader of friction carwash units in convenience store markets, while expanding sales in other carwash arenas, such as touch-free conveyor, private investor, activation and chemicals.

Ryko is a manufacturer of carwashing equipment.

Operator Tips From the News

Help your community give back
Two carwashes in Oshkosh, WI, are helping their local police department recognize safe drivers in school zones.

Jet Stream Carwash and Victory Car Wash both offered gift certificates for a free wash to two women who were nominated by school crossing guards and chosen by the Oshkosh Police Department to be recognized for their safe driving habits.

Your carwash can get some good press and give back to the community by doing the same. Consider donating free wash coupons or discounted rates for safe drivers in your area.

Recognize local soldiers and their families
Beechnut Auto, an auto repair and maintenance shop in Houston, is launching what may be the nation’s first program to offer free auto maintenance — including carwashes — and discounted repairs for the loved ones of soldiers in combat.

The F.O.R.D. Program, which stands for “For Offshore Relief of Deployment,” will service the soldier’s family’s primary car for free, including carwashes, oil changes and safety inspections.

Ray Moon, owner of Beechnut Auto said the program would allow soldier’s families to focus on “the more important issues at hand.”

The car care service has been featured on NBC’s Dateline and in the Houston Press in the past for similar events and programs.
