EXPERIENCE SCWA, the 2012 Southwest Car Wash Association Convention & EXPO, included three strong days of Industry Innovations – Business Solutions and Unparalleled Hospitality. The success of the event was described by a long time exhibitor “SCWA always starts my year in a big way…very positive and this year was the best yet”.
“As we brought the car wash and lube community together from around the Southwest, the SCWA 2012 Convention & EXPO focused on the challenges and forces impacting business in general and the car wash industry in particular. SCWA wants to be on the leading edge of what is happening in the car wash industry and to provide our members with the most relevant information and resources available”, according to SCWA President Shane Weiss, AstroMatic Car Wash, Alice, Texas. Weiss joined more than 1200 car wash owners and exhibitors attending at the SCWA 2012 Convention & EXPO.
The convention started with the much anticipated CEO Forum. Dr. Bernard Weinstein, nationally recognized economist discussed business trends anticipated for 2012 and how car wash owners can better position their business to take advantage of the trends. Weinstein conclusion is 2012 will present challenges and opportunities for business owners but the overall trend is positive.
Brad McCoy provided the Keynote Address focusing on how business owners can be more productive in today’s fast paced world. McCoy pointed out passion can diminish if you don’t move ahead with your intentions. The longer you think about an idea without taking action, the more likely it will not materialize and be lost.
Shane Weiss will continue as the 2012-2013 SCWA President. According to Weiss, “I am excited to be a part of this dynamic organization. This was the largest SCWA EXPO and Convention yet and we will continue to build on the successes of the past as well as establish new goals that benefit our car wash members. As a member-driven organization, we will focus on new ideas to help our members achieve greater success in their day to day car wash operations”.
