Outdoor water use banned in MA city
WESTBORO, MA — The Department of Public Works here instituted a mandatory water ban, according to telegram.com.
The June 20 story stated that, under the ban, all non-essential outdoor water use is prohibited from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. This includes the washing of vehicles, except at commercial carwashes or if necessary for driver safety.
Also prohibited is the washing of building exteriors, parking lots, driveways, sidewalks and other outside surfaces.
Even so, lawns, gardens, flowers and ornamental plants may still be watered with a hand-held hose.
