BEL AIR, MD — A new detail shop is part of a controversial plan for a car dealership expansion here, exploreharford.com reported.
The July 19 story stated that the dealership proposed a 9,980-square-foot detail shop that would be constructed on the property. There is also an existing vehicle storage facility on the lot that would remain.
With the detail shop, only a few concerns were raised. Rich Zeller with the Maryland State Highway Administration said there is some potential for traffic issues, and in the story he said the administration would “like to have the opportunity to review some traffic numbers.”
During the county Development Advisory Committee meeting about the two planned expansions, a few concerned citizens showed up. Many cited lighting concerns with the dealership’s current property. One resident described the dealership’s lighting as “ridiculous.”
