Chain to donate day's profits to families in need
ROCKY MOUNT, NC ― Rod Holloman, owner of the Squeaky Clean carwash chain, is donating the profits from the washes sold on July 31 to families in need, The Rocky Mount Telegram reported.
The July 25 story said proceeds will go to the city's Winter Assistance for Rocky Mount Program (WARM) which provides heat to homes of those who are hurting financially.
Last year, Holloman donated $1,000 to the WARM program from the proceeds. To entice more customers, and donations, Holloman is offering automatic carwashes for half the price.
“You realize how difficult it is sometimes for these folks to pay utility bills and heating bills,” Holloman said in the story. “We’re fortunate that we’ve had a mild winter this year.”
