Employees don't mind getting wet with the high summer temps

July 31, 2012

SUFFOLK, VA ― It's been a hot summer so far, and some carwash employees here said they don't even mind it when they get wet while washing cars, the Suffolk News-Herald reported.

The July 27 story said employees at Mickie’s Car Wash and Detail said it was the time in-between the washing of the cars that was difficult.

“You’re scorching, sweating, constantly sweating,” employee Trent Higgs said in the story. "You don’t get mad about getting sprayed. You just keep drinking plenty of water and Powerade.”

Another employee, Derrick Harris, joked that it was a good weightloss program. “It gets hectic when you’re packed and you can’t stop and rest much,” he said in the story.
