Window-tint competition to decide ‘world’s best’
LOUISVILLE, KY — A two-day competition will be held here with 55 contestants to decide who is the “world’s best” window tinter, according to WindowFilmmag.com.
The July 30 story stated that there will be two rounds of competition. In the first, each technician will have 20 minutes to complete a film installation. The top 10 will advance to the finals where they will have 60 minutes to complete a larger window film installation.
The winner will receive $10,000, a gold medal and a trophy as well as bragging rights as the “World’s Best Automotive Window Film Tinter.” Second place will receive $3,000 and a silver medal, and third will receive $1,000 and a bronze medal.
The preliminary heats of the Tint-Off will take place on Friday, Sept. 21 as part of the International Window Film Conference Exhibition/Extravaganza. The automotive division finals will then be held on Saturday morning, and winners will be announced that evening.
