Carwash/gas station final plans approved
PLYMOUTH, MN — After an hour of discussion and community feedback, a site plan and conditional use permit was approved for a multi-use business here, PlymouthPatch reported.
The Sept. 27 story stated that residents and one business spoke out against the operation based on safety, traffic, lighting and environmental concerns. Council members had multiple questions and the plan was discussed at length.
The site plan and conditional use permit asked for approval to build a 4,300-square-foot SuperAmerica gas station, c-store and carwash.
Also, the owner requested permission to operate the business 24 hours a day, but that part of the plan was denied. Instead the council limited the hours of operation to 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
“I would not view this as a destination where people would go out of their way to get gas at 2 a.m.,” Mayor Kelli Slavik said during the meeting.
