Washes collect donations to help fight cancer
ST. LOUIS — The seven locations of Waterway Carwash here will collect money for the Cancer Support Community of Greater St. Louis during the month of October, stltoday.com reported.
The Oct. 2 story stated that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the wash’s employees wanted to do something to help fight breast cancer. “They asked us to take another step and include our customers who are always very generous,” Shaun Nordgaarden, St. Louis Waterway managing partner, said in the story.
Waterway is also teaming up with employees and customers for the special month. Donations from employees at the washes will be matched by the carwash company at 100 percent. Employees will also be wearing pink shirts to promote the event.
Cancer Support Community of Greater St. Louis offers free support programs and services to cancer patients and their families. They want to empower and educate all that are impacted by cancer.
In addition to a wide selection of carwash services, Waterway Carwashes offer branded gasoline and c-store items.
