Wash poll results are in — which candidate will win?
PENN HILLS, PA — As voters line up to cast their votes in the presidential election today, one carwash has already closed their poll, and the results predict a close race, Plum-OakmontPatch reported.
The Nov. 6 story stated that Splash Touchless started their presidential carwash poll in October, and customers were able to choose the left bay for Obama and the right bay for Romney. Each day the results were posted on the wash’s LED sign.
Obama initially took the lead then lost it to Romney by more than 30 votes, according to Splash’s Owner Scott Glover. In the end, Obama edged out Romney by a single vote. The final tally was Obama 719, Romney 718.
Glover was surprised how the carwash results mirrored many national polls. Especially after the first debate when Romney pulled ahead. “While the poll offered some good clean fun, the true winners are all Americans who have the opportunity to vote for a candidate that has a vision they have in common,” he said.
