Police recover Maserati stolen from carwash
SOUTH MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA — A stolen Maserati valued at AUS$300,000 was recovered after a duo allegedly stole the vehicle from a carwash here, Herald Sun reported.
The March 19 story stated that the stolen luxury sports car was found unoccupied and seized by authorities. It is not known if any damage was sustained during the theft.
The car was spotted by a passer-by who contacted police. The caller noticed the car at a service station and called Crime Stoppers.
The Maserati was parked at City Road carwash when it was first reported stolen. A police constable said the car was believed to be the property of a local business.
CCTV footage capturing two men police believe may have been involved has now been released. Police are asking people with more information to contact crime stoppers.
