Small operation relies on social media
KINGSTON, JAMAICA — After a couple of slow years, Brandon's Car Wash has turned its business around with detailing specials and social media, the Jamaica Observer reported.
The April 4 story stated that the carwash started an aggressive marketing campaign where it posts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. These posts promote the company's latest specials including Polish Mondays, a Tuesday detailing special and wash-and-vacuum bargains for Fridays.
After three weeks, the response was so good that Owner Omar Lodge decided to step up the promotional campaign.
"Things are not so bad, people have seen our posts and have called and inquired. Not all of them come but at least there is interest," Lodge said in the story. "The car wash business is very competitive. You have to ensure that customers are happy, will come back and pass the word on to others."
