Neighbors decide to spruce up deserted wash
CHALFONT, PA — A burned-out carwash here has “marred” an intersection here for seven years, PhillyBurbs.com reported.
The April 12 story stated that now members of a business alliance are going to try and spruce up the eyesore. The organization hopes to pick up trash, control weeds, cover holes in the roof, paint trim, lights and sign poles.
In addition, a local siding company offered to perform work at cost, but funds are needed for labor and supplies.
The group is looking for a bucket truck, plywood, studs, paint and other materials. Hopefully the location can be cleaned this month or next.
The property has been for sale for years, and it is currently being used as a staging area for PennDOT.
