Employee accused of swindling more than $350K from carwash
APPLE VALLEY, MN — A woman who was employeed at the Paradise Car Wash here has been accused of swindling the carwash out of $350,000, the Grand Forks Herald reported.
The June 3 story said Connie Rogers, 46, has been charged with "nine counts of felony theft by swindle."
The criminal complaint stated that Rogers is accused of writing excess payroll checks to herself between 2008 and 2012.
When the carwash's manager confronted Rogers, she admitted to writing the checks, and then voiding them so they would not appear on her W-2 statements.
