Carwash forced to close due to water shortage

CAMP SPRINGS, MD — Roy’s Car Wash has been forced to temporarily close their doors in advance of a water shortage.

Roy’s Car Wash owner David Morauer says on a typical day the carwash washes a “couple-hundred” cars using 15 to 20 gallons per car, according to the Patch.com story.

“We’re just going to stay closed until it’s okay,” Morauer said. “… It’s a huge loss for us.”

Morauer’s location also features a BP gas station and he will supply employees working the station with bottled water during the shortage.
